What size wall light is best for my hallway?
Wall lights in the hallway are there for two reasons, to light up the space and to please the eye.
The larger the hallway, either the bigger or the more wall lights you’ll need to get enough light. The rest depends largely on the style you’re looking to achieve and the feel you’re going for.
Try not to overwhelm the space with lights, but be weary of skimping and not getting that bright payout you’re looking for. Especially if you’re using wall lights in place of ceiling lights.
Are there wall lights suitable for narrow hallways?
With narrow hallways the main thing to be weary of is having wall lights that extend too far out and eat up precious space. Or create a hazard. By choosing wall light styles that are flush to the walls you’re less likely to knock someone out, which is usually the route we suggest.
What is the recommended height for installing hallway wall lights?
When decorating your home, the specific height is going to be based on your height. A tailor made hallway just for you! Generally speaking, the formulae for a well mounted wall light is about 150-170cm above floor level. This is to ensure that the top of the light sits at eye level and you don’t have to suffer the glare of an exposed bulb.
