We’ve got a wide range of flush and semi flush ceiling lights, boasting all the elegance of a typical chandelier light without the drop. Flush ceiling lights have great benefits and can transform any room no matter the size. Designed to fit snug to your ceiling to make the most of the space in any room, they're one way of making your room feel extra spacious. Flush ceiling lights are perfect if you’re working with smaller rooms like spare bedrooms with limited space and big potential. Flush ceiling lights for hallways are also a particularly good choice to make the hallway cosy and inviting if it's limited on space! Flush bathroom ceiling lights are also a popular choice, as bathroom ceiling lights often need to be more tucked back and IP44 or IP65 rated for safety. Whichever home space you're trying to illuminate in a functional and understated way, it's hard to go wrong with flush or semi flush ceiling lights.

Are flush ceiling lights easy to replace?

Flush ceiling lights can be easier to replace than some other light fixtures, but of course this will vary depending on your skill level and confidence. In most cases, replacing a flush ceiling light requires you to turn off the power, remove/unscrew the original fixture, disconnect the wiring, mount the new bracket, connect the new wires and attach the new fixture before turning the power back on to test them. However, if you're unsure on what you're doing or don't feel confident, then get the help of a professional electrician. It's far better to be safe than sorry when it comes to electricity if you're not 100% certain on what to do.

How do you clean flush ceiling lights?

Some flush ceiling light fixtures can be satisfactorily cleaned with a feather duster, but for more stubborn smears, marks or stains you might need to apply a little more elbow grease. After first turning off the mains power, unscrew or detach the fixture/shade/cover. Run a sink of warm, soapy water with a mild detergent, then use a clean cloth to gently wipe the detached fixture with the cleaning solution. For glass covers, using a specialised glass cleaner may be more effective. Remove any residual cleaner with water and allow the fixture to dry naturally. Once it's completely dry, reattach the fixture and turn the power back on to test it.
