Tiffany

Tiffany lamps feature shades crafted from vibrant coloured glass and are designed in the Art Nouveau style. They're famous for their distinctive look, beautiful glass pieces, and detailed lead glass craftsmanship. There is a lot of crossover to the art deco style, but Tiffany lights are technically designed in the Art Nouveau style. They do still work well in interiors with an Art Deco theme though. These days, you can get Tiffany table lamps and Tiffany floor lamps, so you can layer your lighting and get a cohesive theme.

In a way. Sort of. The creator of the Tiffany lamp, Louis Comfort Tiffany, was the son of Charles Lewis Tiffany, the founder of jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co. So, the creators of the lamp and the jewellery company are related. The products, however, are not. Louis was influenced by the decorative art and design he was exposed to from a young age, and he was quoted as saying, “I have always striven to fix beauty in wood, stone, glass or pottery, in oil or watercolour by using whatever seemed fittest for the expression of beauty,”
