How to create the perfect lighting for a movie night

Setting the mood.

Everyone loves a good movie night, and with the treat of going to the cinemas not being an option anymore we have a handy guide to show you how to create the perfect atmosphere, using lighting for those cozy movie nights at home with your loved ones. For creating the perfect movie night atmosphere it’s all about setting the mood, whether that be a dark spooky mood for the horror fans or a warm comfy mood for the chick flicks- it all starts with layering. Layering your lighting is integral in any room but especially in one where you need to be able to change the atmosphere for different occasions. Installing a dimmer switch would be a huge benefit and is a handy tool for changing the mood and light level in a room quickly and easily. 

Ceiling lights.

Let’s start with the basics, ceiling lights are the first step to adding any lighting to a room, having ceiling mounted lights helps spread more ambient lighting throughout the entire space, as much as we all love a huge fancy chandelier, if the room is going to be used for movie nights something a little less eye-catching might be best.
