1.      Size – This is all about considering the size of everything you’re already working with, and the specifics of what this floor lamp is supposed to do. You don’t want your floor lamp to block access to any existing furniture and you will probably want to avoid it being way too big or too small in comparison to anything else. Most importantly think about its purpose. Is it a task light? If so, what height do you need the light coming from to best serve that purpose?
