What is warm white or cool white lighting, and how do I know which one to choose?
The colour temperature of a light bulb refers to the feeling the light creates, measured in Kelvin (K). Warm white lighting (around 2,700K - 3,000K) has a soft, yellowish glow that is perfect for creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere, much like a traditional incandescent bulb. It's often used in living rooms and bedrooms. Cool white lighting (around 4,000K - 5,000K) is a crisper, brighter light with a slight blue tint, which is great for tasks and visibility. We recommend it for kitchens, home offices, and bathrooms. The choice is all about the mood you want to set for your space! We have much more information on colour temperatures and how to achieve certain ambience with them in
our dedicated colour temperature blog post, so check that out for more inspiration and know-how!
