What type of table lamps are available?
What types of lamp aren't available? That's really the question. We know how specific and individual someones lighting needs are, we get it. So we've got every kind of lamp you could imagine. Maybe you're looking for a rustic touch, industrial edge or to bring in a bit of texture with glass or wood. Maybe, above all else, you need something durable to withstand the wagging of a tail or tiny, grabby hands! Metal, definitely go for metal.
Colour? Thanks to lamp shades it's super easy to coordinate the lamp of your dreams with your well thought out decor and colour scheme (and just as easy to switch out if you get bored).
More so, if you're sick of hunting for a switch then touch table lamps might be the answer to your woes, if you're looking for a one and done mood lighting lamp then dimmable will work a treat. If you're struggling for outlet space, then it's time to bring in the built in USB ports.
What are the recommended bulb types for table lamps?
Really, you'd have to ask the lamp. Which is easy enough to do because we've made sure to include the required bulb type on all of our product descriptions. Wouldn't want anyone being caught out and having to guess, would we?
Lamps typically support a variety of bulb types; incandescent, halogen, LED or CFL bulbs. If that's totally thrown you off and you're thinking 'you've lost me', that's okay! We have a handy dandy light bulb guide ready for just this occasion. What kind of light bulb you need and what they all do can be super confusing, so we've made it easy.
The specific bulb type your lamp needs will probably depend on the lamps socket and wattage requirements.
LED is definitely the ruling bulb choice, they're way more energy efficient, cost effective and last so much longer than your standard halogen bulbs. Not to mention LED bulbs can be smart, dimmable, warm or cool. So much choice for the perfect glow!
How do I choose the right size table lamp?
We've pre sorted some options for you, cause we're good like that, if you're looking for a desk lamp then you're probably after some good task lighting with a bright light that's compact enough to fit on the desk alongside all of your very important things. Or, maybe, a traditional table lamp which is atleast 50% a decorative choice. There's more freedom here for style, shape, size and location.
Table lamps are a key player in the mood lighting game and they have a specific role within your mood lighting scheme. Ofcourse it's all about proportion, the bigger the space the bigger you can go with the table lamp without things looking out of whack, but hey if out of whack is your vibe then we are all for it. A good place to start is having the bottom of the lamp shade at eye level when you're sat down, and just for the sake of balance and still having usable surface area the width of the lamp shade shouldn't take over the whole table.
All that really matters is that the lamp you choose works for you and your space, so take care in considering the room, furniture and other lighting.
