There are a few key things to consider when choosing the right lamp shade; the size of the shade, the shape and how/if it matches with the style of your lamp.

The best way to replace a lamp shade depends on the type of lamp and how it attaches to the shade. For most lamps, you’ll need to remove the old shade by unscrewing it or removing the harp (the piece that connects it to the base of the lamp).

The new shade should have the same type of attachment, so you can simply replace it by screwing it onto the harp or using the clip-on attachment. Check that the shade is level and secure before turning on the lamp. And there you go! Brilliantly bright.
