How do I make a purchase?

Shopping at ValueLights is so easy, it’s light on effort:

  1. Want to see everything we have on offer? Simply select a category to browse by a specific product type, look or room. Know exactly what you want? Use our search bar located at the top of the page to find a product that matches exactly what you’re looking for.
  2. See something that’s caught your eye? Simply click or tap on the product you’re interested in to view further details. Click or tap on the photograph to zoom in to take a closer look and swipe or click to view the full range of images. Dimensions, product information, related products, composition, reference code and price are all included on each product page, so you can access all the information you need on the item in one place.
  3. Like what you see? Select the product and your desired quantity before clicking the ‘Add To Basket’ button. If you forget to amend the quantity or decide you need more, don’t worry, you can amend the quantity number in your basket or you can just add the item to your basket again.
  4. If you wish to continue shopping, repeat the previous steps. If you wish to process your order, click on the basket icon located in the top right of your screen. To checkout, you can log in (if you have an existing account), register (if you would like to create an account) or checkout as a guest (if you do not wish to create an account).
  5. Enter your details and delivery address – please review and check that these are correct before moving on to the next section.
  6. Select which delivery service you would like to use – we offer both Standard and Next Day delivery – then click ‘Continue To Payment’.
  7. Select a secure payment method. We accept Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal and Klarna. We also accept Paypal Pay-In-3, Klarna Pay-In-3 and Klarna Pay-In-30 Days to those who are eligible and wish to spread the cost.   8. Once you have filled in your payment details, click ‘Confirm’ or the ‘Place Your Order’ button to place your order.
  9. You will receive an email confirming your order and a unique reference number. This will be sent to the email address provided on your order. Please check your junk or spam folder if your confirmation email does not appear in your main email inbox.

Do I need to set up an account?

You do not need an account to shop at ValueLights. Simply checkout as a guest if you do not wish to create an account.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal and Klarna. If you are already registered with PayPal or Klarna, you can checkout using your existing account without signing up to us. You can also pay by BACS transfer if you choose to place your order over the phone with our customer service team, who can be contacted on: 0161 837 6095

What currency do you accept?

We only accept payment in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).

Are my personal details safe?

Can you post an item outside of the UK?

Unfortunately, we are currently only able to deliver within the UK. We do deliver to Northern Ireland, the Scottish highlands and the Channel Islands, but please note, Next Day delivery is not available for these areas – Next Day delivery is only available within Mainland UK. When can I expect my order?

If you have selected our standard delivery option, you can expect to receive your order within 3-5 workings days. If you have selected our Next Day delivery service, you can expect to receive your order the next working day, providing you have placed your order before 7pm. If you place your order on a Sunday on a Next Day delivery service, please make sure to place your order before 3:45pm, otherwise, your order will not be processed until the next working day. Please note, Next Day delivery is only available on orders delivered within Mainland UK.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Next Day delivery to the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands or Northern Ireland. To find out more about our delivery service and time frames, please view our Delivery page.

What if my delivery contains damaged goods?

On rare occasions, goods can sustain minor damage during transit or contain a manufacturer's defect. We have rigorous quality checks in place, but if damage or faults do occur, please contact us as soon as possible on 0161 837 6095 or [email protected] so we can get this sorted for you. We will arrange for the damaged product to be collected and new products to be dispatched to you immediately, so you won’t be kept waiting for long!

I have not had a reply to the email that I sent to you?

Due to the high volume of emails we receive each day, we apologise in advance if we cannot answer every email as quickly as we’d like. We will always aim to answer all emails within 24 hours of receipt, but please note, this may take slightly longer during busy periods like Black Friday, New Year and Christmas.

Please note, we will answer all enquiries within the following working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. If you send an email outside of these working hours, we will endeavour to get back to you as quickly as possible.

If you would prefer to speak with someone directly, you can call us on 0161 837 6095. When you call, please state the 5 digit product code of the item you would like to talk about, which is listed on the product page on our website. This code can also be found on the leaflet and on the box of the product you received and is also mentioned on your confirmation email. Providing this information will help us to answer your enquiry more quickly, as we want to help you as best as we can.
