We've made sure to include the required bulb type on all of our product descriptions. Wouldn't want anyone being caught out and having to guess, would we? The specific type of light bulb your table lamp needs will probably depend on the lamp's socket and wattage requirements. LED is definitely the ruling choice when it comes to light bulbs. LED light bulbs are way more energy efficient, cost effective and last so much longer than your standard halogen bulbs. Not to mention LED bulbs can be smart, dimmable, warm or cool. So much choice for the perfect glow!

How do I choose the right size table lamp?

The most important thing to consider when choosing which size of table lamp to buy is the amount of free space on the desired table. For example, if you're looking for a desk lamp then you're probably after some good task lighting with a bright light that's compact enough to fit on the desk alongside all of your very important things. Or, maybe, a traditional table lamp which is at least 50% a decorative choice. There's more freedom here for style, shape, size and location. Short on space? Why not opt for a battery-operated table lamp? The other important thing to consider is proportion. The bigger the table's total surface space, the bigger you can go with the table lamp without things looking out of whack. Although, if 'out of whack' is your vibe then we have plenty of statement table lamps available! A good place to start is having the bottom of the lamp shade at eye level when you're sat down, and just for the sake of balance and still having usable surface area the width of the lamp shade shouldn't take over the whole table or overhang the table's sides. Ultimately, all that really matters is that the lamp you choose works for you and your space, so take care in considering the room, furniture and other lighting.
