It is no big secret that Italians have an inherent eye for good design. With their roots found in the roman times when interior designing was a hobby of the Italian upper class, the romans created architectural master pieces and designed the interiors of their building for maximum comfort, purpose, and aesthetic appeal. Modern Italian interior design, with a focus on clean lines, has few things in common with it’s historical counterpart. However, the love of open and well-lit areas and luxury materials such as marble is always a must. Making the home aesthetically pleasing has not changed either, much of this comes from bold statement pieces with quirky designs being used to make the home an interesting living area.
