Living Room Lamps

It’s no secret that at ValueLights we feel very, very strongly about mood lighting. Coming home after a long day of bread winning to cosy home with some solid ambience, we think, is the key to happiness and the secret to really unwinding. There’s no bigger player in the game of a warm glow than lamps. Floor lamps, table lamps and a ceiling light that doesn’t overpower a space. That’s the magic touch.

Choosing the Right Lamp

The biggest thing to think about when you’re bringing something new into your home is what you’ve already got.

What areas of your living room are well lit already, what surfaces are already abundantly decorated, which corners are full. Then, consider what you feel like you’re missing from the space. What corners seem a little dark and gloomy, where is there a whole load of empty space that could do with filling, do you have table lamps but no floor lamps or vice versa?

These answers differ for everyone, we’re all starting out with different furnishings, and we’ve all got different rooms to work with.
